If you are familiar with my blog you would know that I love music and I create playlist for everything. So of course I had to create a playlist to help me deal with this corona quarantine madness!
I was inspired to create one after listening to Naomi Raine’s album, Back to Eden II. Y’all the album by itself could be the whole playlist, because it’s that good, but I added a few more of my go-to songs that help me cope in trying times like these. I’m mostly going to discuss the songs on the Back to Eden II album in this blog, but I will add a list of all the songs on the playlist and a link to it at the end.
The first song on the album is Never Be Ashamed and now is definitely not the time to be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ! People are running scared and freaking out because we have no idea when all of this is going to end. Jobs have been lost, kids have been trying to adjust to distance learning, businesses have had to close and people have been getting sick and some have even died! But thank God for Jesus! I have been able to maintain my peace (On most days at least! Hey I’m being transparent here) because of Him!
This brings me to the second song on the album, Find My Peace. That song right there should be the anthem for this season! The first time I heard the song was on March 16, the day NYC schools were officially closed. I listened to that song all day for two days straight and then everyday for the rest of that week on my way back and forth to work!
I work from home now so I have not been listening to it as often but yesterday when I found out that someone really close to me tested positive for COVID-19 and is in the hospital, I had to pull it out again! I needed to hear the following words…

The next song, The Blood, has an almost minute long instrumental intro that really sets the mood for worship, it’s just so soothing. The Israelites in Egypt had to put the blood of a lamb above their door post to avoid the angel of death and we, as believers, have the blood of THE LAMB, Jesus Christ, as our protection! If we could focus on that for a few minutes every day then we won’t keep tripping over this Corona virus!
Of course we still need to walk in wisdom so please, plea the blood, practice social distancing, WASH YO HANDS and remember…

Okay so I don’t want to make this blog too long but I just have to say that I really believe that God orchestrated the release date (March 13, 2020) and even the order of the songs of this album. The last four songs of the album are…

- Open Heaven
- Come to Jesus
And the last things I want to say are…
1. In this time when we can’t find comfort in material things like we used to, we have to remember that God is the only thing that can truly satisfy us
2. God is forever good because He is working all things out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose
3. Right now we are under an open heaven so keep praying and petitioning and praising because He is definitely listening!
And lastly, please, please, please! Come to Jesus!!
To my non-believers reading this, Jesus loves you and He gave His life on a cross to save you! He doesn’t care how bad people think you are or what bad things you’ve done! He still loves you and wants to be in relationship with you! All you have to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
To my believers riddled in fear right now! God does not give us a spirit of fear! Remember His promises to us! Use this time to lose yourself in His word and talk to Him. He put us all on pause for a reason. Love you all!
